Frequency References

A diverse family of reference products - from the low cost TCXO to low noise atomic references disciplined to GNSS. Modular references are available that can operate from -60 to +60 Vdc in remote towers to rack mount atomic sixteen channel references offering high stability, low noise and reliability with remote monitoring via SNMP. Reverse polarity protection, transient and fault protection and conservative design practices enable a product that will provide years of service. Kits available that include antenna, cables and power supply. Several features can be customized at the factory - frequencies other than 10 MHz either from a unique crystal or with a built-in synthesizer that is GNSS-locked. Time stamping capability to 100ns resolution. To meet unique requirements, we have shipped product with output features requiring a custom amplitude, square wave output, high voltage and high current drive.

Modular DC Powered

Low noise OCXO disciplined to the GNSS.Built-in test and GNSS lock status provides simple system integration to GPSDO status. Wide input operating range from -60 to +60  Vdc. Auto-calibration compensates for long-term drift. Full- RS232 NMEA data and PPS pulse. One, two, three and six channel platforms- kits available. see the 100 MHz NR3620-100

GPS/GNSS Locked

To achieve long-term stability, the primary reference is disciplined with timing information from the GNSS. A 26 channel GNSS receiver supports GPS, GLONASS, QZSS, SBAS, Active Anti-Jamming and Advanced Multi-path Mitigation Functions. The primary reference is measured and modulated to compensate for long-term drift, temperature and mechanical shock to provide an overall accuracy that is typically ~E-12. Non-volatile storage of reference attributes all but eliminates long-term drift. Complex algorithms are used to provide long-term stability with minimal phase noise degradation and reduced  PPS jitters.

OCXO References

Our standard OCXO products offer a stability of ± 50 ppb/year - higher levels of stability are available. In addition to sine-wave outputs – low jitter synthesizers enable alternative frequencies. A popular feature is a simulated PPS. Available in modular and rack mount chassis and capable of operating from AC and DC sources. 1,2,3,4,6,10 and 16 channel designs.

Rubidium Sources

Offering a stability of less than 1 ppb/year, Rubidium is a strong alternative to a GNSS locked reference when an OCXO is not good enough. Novus offers 1, 4,10 and 16 channel units. Low Phase noise options available that lock a ultra-low noise OCXO to the Rubidium source. GNSS locked Rubidium references address applications with demanding long-term stability needs.

Portable Precision Reference with Time Stamp

A portable reference brings precision timing where you need it. Choose the stability you need in either a Rubidium or OCXO based platform. The unit can be powered from an internal battery or an external DC or AC source. Capture events to a 100ns resolution and program the unit to e-mail the event to a remote location. 10 MHz output and secondary channel driven by a low jitter synthesizer.

PCB Assembly

Integrate a precision 10 MHz reference into your system. Operates from a single 5 Vdc supply. NMEA-0183 at full rs232 levels and PPS.  GNSS lock status and built-in test signals for monitoring. Simple mounting and connector options.

Ultra - Low Noise Frequency References

Many applications require very low phase noise levels. Uplinks that operate at high multipliers require a very low phase noise due to the 20*log(Ft/10MHz) degradation of phase noise. These products achive very low phase noise by using low phase noise OCXO's along with supporting electronics designed to minimize any degradation of the source. Some designs use vibration isolators to prevent vibration induced phase noise.
