NMEA PPS and NTP Sources
NMEA, PPS and NTP data are required in navigational, positioning, seismic and countless other systems. Novus sources generate NMEA and PPS data under a variety of conditions- our GNSS products provide standard NMEA-0183 at programmable rates and content. Our simulators synchronize to the GNSS and continue to provide data even after GNSS signals are lost with high stability OCXO or atomic references. Our PPS sources offer jitter levels stabilized to the OCXO (P-P < 50 ps). The NR8700 NTP time server has two internal independent time bases to assure the integrity of your timing system. Novus Product Summary
USB Powered NMEA/PPS Source
PPS signal is 3.3V CMOS with a 20ns rms accuracy-50 Ohm drive option available. The NMEA 0183 data is available via a USB-B port on the front panel. Unit is DC powered from (-60 to +60 VDC in three ranges) or can be USB powered. The lock and self-test status is presented on the front panel with an indicator and also available on the rear panel connector via solid state relay contacts.
OCXO Simulated PPS Source
Low noise high stability OCXO drives a frequency synthesizer that generates PPS signal. Stability options to 10 year projected of ±200 ppb. Factory settable pulse width. Operates from DC power from -60 to +60 Vdc in three ranges. AC power adapter available.
NMEA/PPS Modular Source
NMEA-PPS source that derives master timing from either a NMEA-PPS external source, Internal GNSS receiver or an internal high stability OCXO based simulator. You establish each signal source priority and it will automatically switch to the priority source. Front panel display option shows instrument status, time position and more.
Portable NMEA/PPS Source
Provides NTP, NMEA, 10 MHz and PPS. 26 Channel GNSS receiver and built-in antenna provides rapid locking and sustained locking. Operates in a simulate mode when GNSS lost based upon OCXO holdover stability. Internet port allows remote monitoring and time and position stamping.
NTP Time Servers
NTP time servers disciplined to a low noise stable OCXO or atomic reference provides stability under marginal signal conditions. The dual time base reference incorporates two completely independent time sources to assure the integrity of the master source. Continuous measurements in the parts per billion alert if a timing source is becoming unstable.
NMEA/PPS source
The NR3700-G-PPS is a economical source for NMEA and PPS when a 10 MHz reference is not required. Operates from -60 to +60 VDC. 26 channel GNSS receiver
